Meet Andy
I’ve always been good at fixing things. Building things. Figuring out how they work, and how they fit together.
I grew up in Seattle and started working on cars with my brother at 9, metal fabrication with my dad at 10. At 16, I started working in a sign shop, my first job. While I was originally hired for sweeping up and simple tasks, they quickly had me painting, welding, and wiring.
I became a licensed journeyman electrician at 20. As a sign electrician, and then as a sign engineer, I worked on large displays for tech company lobbies, museums, casinos, amusement parks, and malls. I worked in the sign industry for 42 years and eventually opened my own sign shop.
I bought my first house at 22 and have owned, remodeled and maintained 6 houses and a triplex rental property, including plumbing and electrical work. If you’re having trouble with something in your home, it’s likely something I’ve already fixed in one of mine.
Today, I’ve thrown in the “corporate” towel. I’m a handy man. I enjoy helping people one on one. I understand that when something isn’t working quite right in your home, no matter how small, it can feel like a more than just a small annoyance to you. My goal isn’t just to fix things, but to fix them the right way, so you’ll never have to think about them again.
What Does a Handy Man Do?
As a handyman, I work on smaller home improvements, maintenance, and similar projects in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and unincorporated Washoe County. I specialize in jobs that are too small for a general contractor, but still need to get done. (I am not a general contractor)
